Turn Heads This Summer With Your Car's Best Beach Body

There's nothing more American than a summer trip to the beach to catch a great tan, great surf and great times.  Nowadays we know to protect ourselves with sunscreen plus lots of hydration.  But have you ever thought about what happens to your ride while you're having all that fun? It's exposed to the hot sun and salty, sandy air all day long - and that can cause serious, very expensive damage to your paint.  Fortunately, there are some simple steps you can take to protect your paint and give your ride an incredible shine while you're at it.

The keys are sealing your paint and then putting a protective coating on top of that.  Do this at the start of beach weather and every 2-3 months thereafter. Start by washing your car with Barrier Reef® Wash & Wax. It cleans without scratching because it lays down a coat of #1 Brazilian Carnauba. Next, apply Nano Seal™ Protective Coat to seal every microscopic pore in your paint. This not only gives your paint the best possible protection from the elements and UV, but it also makes the surface more reflective - which means an even more incredible shine. Next, wax with Barrier Reef® Carnauba Wax (you can also use Barrier Reef® Hand-Blended Paste Wax or, if you're in a real hurry, Barrier Reef® Spray Wax).  There is no better sacrificial layer for defending your paint than a high-Carnauba-concentration, Enthusiast Grade® wax like Barrier Reef - and you get the added benefit of a true deep gloss shine.

One last tip: Each time you head to the beach, take 5 minutes beforehand and apply Hot Rod™ Protective Detailer.  Hot Rod contains advanced synthetics and has super-high concentrations of UV protectants that actually last through car washes.  Your ride gets the best shine plus ultimate protection against environmental damage.

Sun, salt and sand are part of the fun of the beach, but they are real hazards for your car.  By defending your car's paint with these Surf City Garage Enthusiast Grade® products, that paint will look as good as you do with all that sunscreen and hydration.
